Castle Coffee Co. was a pure passion project right from the very start! With a subtle nod to Disneyland (castle), I originally set out to make an art deco style block typeface, utilizing low crossbars and adding personality to each letter. After I had finished the typeface “Deco Block” along with all of its varying weights and styles, I began to create specimen pages and badges to help bring it to life. One of the first badges I made was the fictitious coffee company called, Castle. The project quickly became a life of its own and before I knew it I had created a complete branding system out of one single type specimen badge! Take a gander below to see how it unfolded!
